Earth 23 is one Earth among many possible variations in the Multiverse. It features a Batman, who despite belonging to the Justice League of America, prefers to team up with one to two superheroes and solve global and otherworldly cases. During the World War II era of this Earth, Per Degaton was a major villain of the time. In 1954, a movie called "Holiday for Neptunians" was released in movie theaters. Dr. Thomas and Martha Wayne were killed on Christmas Day after taking their son, Bruce, to "The Mask of Zorro" movie.
When Batman first debuted, he was mentored and trained by the Justice Society of America along with the second Black Canary. On one occassion, Earth 23 was visited by Owlman of a parallel Earth. Two years after the death of the Blue Beetle known as Ted Kord, the current Beetle discovers his predecessor's fate. Batman has taken on one sidekick, Robin, whom has struck out on his own and is now only assisted by Bathound. Batman, when not occupied with cases in Gotham or missions with allies, mentors the next generation of heroes: Blue Beetle, The Outsiders, and Firestorm.
