In 1862, Cornelius Blue journeyed from Connecticut to Nebraska and founded Blue Valley in the northeast region of the state, anout 25 miles south of Sioux City, South Dakota. 25 years later, a railroad was completed in Blue Valley and the Blue Family sold the land. In 1903, Cornelius Blue University was founded. 23 years later, it was rebranded as Blue Valley College as a technical school. Today, it was a population of 40,000 or 50,000 depending on if college is in session. The Valley's main economy is through the college.
One tourist attraction is the Museum of Minerals. Aquaman and his family visited it during a vacation. Just outside, the Green Lantern Hal Jordan fought Dr. Polaris and gave chase when the villain fled the scene.
