The Time Sphere is a bubble-like device invented and used by Rip Hunter to travel across space and time. While on a mission to restore Batman to the space-time continuum, Hunter deposited two members of the Justice League International in certain periods to save a Batman from assassination. When each duo completed their mission, they were to activate a homing device that would transport them back to the Time Sphere.
