The Quark Pistol is an invention of S.T.A.R. Labs. Its original purpose is unknown but it is capable of disintegrating organic and inorganic matter. The Pistol was targeted by the Madniks but during a skirmish, Booster Gold destroyed it with his blasters. For a moment, the subatomic structure that powers the Pistol was exposed and mutated the Madniks' DNA.
