After nearly getting killed by a tribe of Neanderthals, a lone caveman decided to answer the call of justice. He wore a pelt of a giant bat, created an arsenal of tools, established a base of operations, and took on a Woolly Mammoth as a companion and mode of transportation. He became Cave Batman, possibly the first Batman of all time. While on patrol, he saved Guy Gardner and Ice from a Tyrannosaurus Rex. He took them to his secret hideout, the Bat Tree, and asked Ice to be his mate. Luckily, as predicted, an assassin from the Batman Revenge Squad arrived. Cave Batman's life was saved but the Bat Tree was in ruins. The enraged hero placed the blame on Gardner. He was later brought to the far future by Robot Batman to face a fragment of Equinox.
