The Challengers of the Unknown and Batman once encountered a giant spider on Dinosaur Island. A recently landed highly radioactive meteor mutated the spider into epic proportions. Unable to damage it with their weapons, the fight was a stalemate. Prof came up with idea of using his whistle to agitate a nearby Pterodactyl. It swooped in and carried away the spider.
