One of Darkseid's most skilled soldiers quickly became a military leader but like many of Darkseid's elite circle, secretly plots against Darkseid to amass his own power. After a military campaign on Earth in the 19th century, he took the name Virmin Vunderbarr and dressed in the likeness of the Prussian ideal.
Short in stature, Vunderbarr rarely goes into battle personally, rather commanding his own troops with archaic and outdated tactics. Vunderbarr was a part of a recent invasion of Earth but remained aboard a warship.
