An oceanographer named Dr. Gaige vowed to become a mob boss and became Tiger Shark. Tiger Shark operates at his base of operations at the Gotham Waterfront and commits thefts at sea with his henchmen. Clad in diving gear, a scuba tank with a shark fin attached to it, and a tiger motif suit, Tiger Shark was defeated by Batman and Robin. Tiger Shark later became part of Bat Mite's imagined day as Batman when Polka-Dot Man created a swimming pool with one of his dots. The real Tiger Shark was present at a seedy bar when Firestorm and three Batmen appeared. Tiger Shark and his henchmen were later defeated by Batman in a daring battle above a shark tank.
