A tiger shark was exposed to a radiation leak near an ocean side nuclear power plant. Instead of dying, it transformed into a mutant humanoid creature. The radiation also gave it increased intelligence and psionic powers. Calling itself Shark, it continued to operate under its natural predatory instincts. Instead of physically feeeding off of its victims, it instead psionically feeds off of its victim's psyches.
The Shark was recently caught and imprisoned. It became part of a prison riot plotted by Babyface. The Shark still resides at Blackgate Prison and later, Iron Heights.
