The Shadow Clan is an organization of ninja empowered by an unknown object. Their only weakness is light. Nonetheless, they became a staple of the Asian crime underworld.
Uninterested in lofty ambitions such as world domination, the Clan's motives changed when they inducted the Terrible Trio. With the power of the Wudang Totem, they would have enough power to overrun the planet. A cell of a little over 100 men accompanied the Trio to China. Batman and Bronze Tiger dispatched them. The Shadow Clan remains in operation.
When Bat-Mite first appeared to Batman, he conjured several villains for Batman to fight, including several members of the Shadow Clan. The Shadow Clan later appeared in the employ of Ra's al Ghul. They guarded his temple hideout but were defeated by the combined force of the Justice League International, Justice Society of America, and Squid Face.
