Ruby Ryder is a wealthy heiress from Star City. Ryder's trust fund was unable to keep up with her spending sprees. In order to gain full access to the billion dollar trust fund, Ryder staged her own kidnapping with Cavalier. The ransom was paid but before the duo could leave Gotham City, they encountered Batman and Green Arrow. While they were distracted by Cavalier, Ryder tasered them both unconscious. They awoke tied up to a bonfire. Once they escaped, Green Arrow launced Batman to their getaway car with a catapult. While Batman retrieved Ryder, Arrow took care of Cavalier.
