Pierrot Lunaire fashions himself after the Commendia dell'Arte character Pierrot, the sad clown. Like the character, Lunaire has a whitened face and wears a loose white blouse with large buttons, wide white pantaloons, and the Jean-Gaspard Deburau version's black skullcap. And like any standard mime, he never speaks. Lunaire is an enemy of the hero Musketeer. In Alfred Pennyworth's "The Knights of Tomorrow!", Lunaire appears as an enemy of the second Batman and Robin.
