Paul Booker once hired a group of scientists to create an assortment of special technology for him. He used them for his criminal exploits and named himself Major Disaster. The technology enables him to generate any type of natural disaster from a typhoon, tornadoes, earthquakes or floods.
Booker recently resurfaced at the Bayside Pier and threatened to unleash a series of hurricanes unless he was paid a ransom of $500 million. Batman, Red Tornado, and Tornado Champion defeated him but not before he overloaded Champion with electricity. Soon after, Disaster made a prison break at Iron Heights only to be beaten senseless by Tornado Champion. He was later among the inmates released by Music Meister. Months later, he resurfaced in Coast City and battled Batman. He was defeated by Green Lantern (Hal Jordan).
