In Alfred Pennyworth's "The Knights of Tomorrow!", the Joker spends his later years in trying to find an apprentice. Most of them don't survive the rigors of being turned insane. The Joker finally met with success with a nobody with nothing to live for and nothing to lose. Now fashioned and armed, the second Joker took part in his final plan, one to kill all past, present, and future Batmen. He disrupted the gala opening of the Batman Museum and fought the second Batman. He escaped but managed to set off explosives that crippled the building. Bruce and Selina Wayne died in the incident. The Joker resurfaced de-facing a Batman statue. It was merely a ploy to lure out Batman. The Jokers planned to use the Batman statue to spread Joker Gas all over Gotham City as the final step in their plan. However, the second Joker was defeated in combat by the second Robin, Damian Wayne.
