Julian Day was always fascinated by calendars. His name is also a pun on the Julian Calendars. As Calendar Man, Day began committing various petty crimes based on an anniversary or holiday. He would also wear a new costume based on the theme of the crime. Calendar Man is considered an annoyance rather than a third rate super villain.
Batman tricked Bat Mite into teleporting Calendar Man to fight him. Batman convinced Calendar Man to fake his defeat but Bat Mite was skeptical and gave Calendar Man new powers. Renamed Calendar King, he could now conjure any holiday icon. He called forth Halloween Jack-O-Lanterns, a legion of biker Santa's, a company of uber patriotic Uncle Sam's, and Mutant Easter Bunnies. Batman managed to punch out Calendar Man when he was arguing with Bat Mite. Bat Mite stripped his power away and returned him back to his hideout. He was later arrested and taken to Arkham Asylum.
Some time later, Calendar Man escaped Arkham was spotted at a Gotham bar. He and the other villains were confused yet desired revenge when three Batmen, as well as a new superhero arrived.
