On September 27, 1940, the Tripartite Pact was signed and the Axis Powers were formed. The military alliance of Germany, Italy, Japan, and others proceeded to take over the world and accumulated an empire that spanned across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Pacific Ocean. They were eventually defeated by the Allies and ended World War II.
In 1943, the Ultra-Humanite was affiliated with the Axis Powers. He decided to enslave Dinosaurs and Pteradactyls from Dinosaur Island and use them to conquer the world for the alliance. However, Humanite was defeated by Allied operatives, Batman and the Creature Commandos.
On D-Day, June 6, 1944, Easy Company and Batman arrived on the shores of France assigned to take back the occupied country. They were met by heavy resistance from concrete bunkers operated by Nazi Germany. G.I. Robot was dispatched to take down the bunker but sacrificed himself to save the life of a fellow soldier. After a moment of silence, Batman and Easy proceeded on to take the hill and later the Eiffel Tower. Around the same time, the Justice Society of America arrived at another beachhead and fought off Axis forces led by Per Degaton. Black Canary damaged his Spear of Destiny and Per Degaton disappeared after trying to still use it.
