Grundy is a monster truck who manifested a persona like the Batwheels and Legion of Zoom at some point. A nail got stuck on his front left wheel and he was in pain. Bam investigated reports of a monster at the Gotham Docks. He encountered a monster truck named Grundy. Bam was unable to stop Grundy. The Batwheels pursued Grundy to Amusement Mile but they were too late and found all the rides and stands in disarray. Buff felt they should just talk to Grundy but the others weren't listening. Their attempts to stop Grundy continued to fail, including Batwing's net. The Batwheels tried to sneak up on the rampaging Grundy in Gotham Central Park but the strategy didn't work. The Batwheels rushed to the Gotham Art Museum to protect the glass statue displays from the rampaging Grundy. They struggled to keep the statues safe and stop Grundy at the same time. Buff decided to follow his instincts and tried talking to Grundy. He discovered Grundy's nail ailment. Buff was able to pull it out and a patch was applied. Grundy felt better and was happy to have friends. Both sides apologized for the misunderstanding and teamed up to clean everything and put everything back in their rightful place.
Grundy was invited to the Batwheels Friendship Day party at the Batcave by Bam but the other Batwheels got trapped in the Batcave by the Legion of Zoom. Bam made a new team with Kitty, Grundy, Goldie, and Nightbike to save them. Trapped in an ice sphere by Snowy, Grundy got to do one of his slams. During the ambush at Gotham Central Square, Grundy jumped off the roof of the Gotham Art Museum and the rumble caught the Zoomers off guard which allowed Kitty to snag the Force Field Flinger to get it to Bam so he could free the Batwheels.
Bam summoned the Gotham Guardians to the Gotham Docks to help him stop Banebuggy, who got huge from a shipment of Ultra Grow-Gas. Grundy was scared by how big Banebuggy was and got out of his way. Goldie and Nightbike used their tow lines and stripped Banebuggy of his gas tanks and he shrank back down to normal. Grundy claimed his wheels slipped. Kitty played in the spilled gas and got huge. They tried in vain to stop her around the city. Nightbike wished there was a big open space where she couldn't break anything. Bam got an idea and used the T-Rex Robot, done up like a mouse, to lure her to Gotham Stadium. She leaped at the stadium lights and broke it then rode some parked cars like skates. Grundy admitted he ran out of Kitty's way because he never met anyone bigger than him and got scared. They all told him he didn't have to face it alone. Bam got an idea to borrow the Batsignal and use it to play keep away and tire her out. It worked and she went to sleep. The others followed suit. Soon after, she shrank back down to normal size.
