Banebuggy, a very dangerous expanding vehicle, went out of control and escaped from S.T.A.R. Labs then fueled up on some experimental growth gas until Redbird interrupted him. He chased after a fuel truck and used a parked vehicle to make Redbird spin out. Banebuggy siphoned growth gas off the fuel truck and got bigger but Buff broke the connection. Batwing couldn't get a clear shot so Buff tried his winch. Banebuggy was too strong and threw Buff clear across the city. Batwing fired her Mega Net but it bounced off him and entangled her. Ace Chemical Plant was targeted by Banebuggy because it manufactured the growth gas nanofuel he used to became large. Bam used the Bat Big Rig in a bid to stop Banebuggy before he became unstoppable. They charged each other but Banebuggy had grown too large and Bam was knocked backwards. He broke the growth gas pipe in the process and Banebuggy used the broken pipe to become gigantic. Bibi arrived despite being told not to.
Bam apologized for worrying about Bibi because of her small size and instructed her to remove the two tubes on Banebuggy's back to turn him back to normal. Bibi drove all around him and made him dizzy. She performed her signature move, the triple wheelie, and yanked the tubes off. He reduced him to his original size. Bam joked he wouldn't have a problem finding a parking space. He tried to escape but Bibi fired a wheel lock on him. Bam patched up the broken pipe. The police towed Banebuggy away as he promised to get revenge.
A tanker of Ultra Grow-Gas in liquid form had just arrived from S.T.A.R. Labs at the Gotham Docks. Banebuggy planned to steal some and become bigger than ever before. Bam happened to be on patrol at the docks but the rest of the Batwheels were in Star City for a car show. On Batcomputer's suggestion, he summoned the Gotham Guardians for help. During the battle, Banebuggy threw Kitty into the tanker truck and knocked it over. Goldie and Nightbike managed to snag his gas tanks and he shrunk back to normal size. Bam placed a wheel lock on him. Kitty played in the puddle of Grow-Gas and got huge. Banebuggy excused himself to check to see if his bathtub was running.
A new shipment of Grow-Gas arrived at Gotham Docks via tanker ship. Banebuggy increased his size before Buff arrived. He created a rumble that sent all the shipping containers flying. Buff weaved and dodged then fired his winch and got to the high ground. However, his winch could not reach Banebuggy's tanks due to the size disparity. Banebuggy saw the tanker ship holding more Growth-Gas and jumped on. He generated a tidal wave that knocked Buff into containers. Snowy and Grundy arrived as he admitted he couldn't win alone. Banebuggy pushed off away from the Docks. Snowy created an ice ramp and the trio made it to the tanker. Banebuggy rocked the boat to keep them off their game but he fell off himself. However, they realized he was siphoning Growth-Gas from the ship. Banebuggy became even larger and touted himself as a sea monster truck.
Buff fired his winch into the control room and hit a lever to get the tanker moving further away. Grundy suggested leapin' wheelies. Snowy created an ice ramp and they stacked on each other then leaped for Banebuggy. They scaled up Banebuggy with their winches then Snowy froze his two tanks. Grundy and Buff pushed them off and Banebuggy shrunk back to his tiny size. He shouted he didn't float. Buff threw a life preserver at him. A seabird perched on him. To add insult to injury, he got seasick, too. Back at the Docks, they hung Banebuggy from a light pole.
