Commissioner Loeb is the corrupt Police Commissioner in charge of the Gotham City Police Department. Little is known about Loeb's background other than he is a fan of pop memorabilia and owns a private collection worth $40,000. On January 4th, conspiracy charges against Loeb were withdrawn after the disappearance of a key witness. Initially, Loeb was not alarmed by Lieutenant Gordon nor Batman. However, that soon changed. He attempted to blackmail Gordon with knowledge of Gordon's affair with Detective Sarah Essen and ordered the firebombing of an abandoned tenemant when Batman entered it. Eventually, Batman forced drug dealer Jefferson Skeevers to implicate Detective Flass in his drug operation. On October 12th, Loeb's pop collection was stolen by Catwoman. After some time in prison, Flass offered notes he took on every meeting with Loeb. Loeb faced federal indictment and sacrificed Brendon, of S.W.A.T., but it appears his resignation is inevitable.
