February 12, 2017: Interview with Jay Oliva. Oliva revealed the ending was originally Deadshot fighting Joker in the helicopter, jumping out, and firing a flare inside, blowing it up. Oliva didn't care for it and also thought it was similar to a scene in Beware The Batman. Since he was doing a lot of Die Hard references, he took the battle to a level under construction. He was also influenced by Skyfall and the neon light scene in Hong Kong. Waller's office at the end was a nod to Die Hard's Nakatomi Plaza. Shanlian on Batman Episode 82; 21:24-25:00
