Lois Lane

Back to Supporting Cast Main > Lois Lane

Real Identity: Lois Joanne Lane
Affiliation(s): Daily Planet
Powers/Skills: Journalism
Voiced By: Christina Hendricks

Lois Lane is an extroverted and career-minded journalist employed by the Daily Planet newspaper in Metropolis. She is more infamous for her reckless nature, covering war zones, and natural disasters. Lane was less than excited when a new rival named Clark Kent began working alongside her but fell in love with the city's new protector, Superman. She spent years trying to prove Kent and Superman were the same man but when her investigations turned up nothing, she gave up the theory. Besides being Superman's romantic interest, she often serves as his moral compass and advises him to do the right thing.

Lane was admired by Time Magazine, awarded with the Pulitzer Prize, and began writing Superman headlines in advance of the likely outcome. On her birthday, Superman revealed his secret identity to Lane and took her to the Fortress of Solitude. He presented her with a Super Serum, which replicated his powers for a day. As they flew around Metropolis, they encountered Dinosaur Men, Samson, and Atlas. Amused by Samson and Atlas' advances, Lane played them off but she was placed into state of quantum uncertainty by the Ultrasphinx. Neither alive nor dead, Lane's life hung in the balance but was saved when Superman sufficiently answered the Ultrasphinx' riddle. After learning Superman was dying, she vowed she'd wait for him no matter what. As Superman began to convert into pure energy, he and Lane said their good byes. Superman left her his cape but Lane didn't believe he had died and awaits his return.
