Dino-Czar Tyrannko is the leader of the Subterranosauri, a race of dinosaur men who escaped extinction by burrowing into the center of the Earth. He is aware of and both fears and respects Superman. When Superman, Lois Lane, Samson, and Atlas returned with an invasion force led by his son, Krull, Tyrannko vowed to punish his people. He revealed to Superman that Samson manipulated Krull into attacking the surface world.
