The Time Telescope is an invention of Superman and resides in the Fortress of Solitude. It allows Superman to contact his successors and enlist their aid to help prevent future threats before they even occur. However, it was not perfected and could only receive brief cryptic messages from the far future. While demonstrating the Telescope to Lois Lane, Superman got a message from Kal Kent, of the 85th century, about Darkseid.
