The Superman Signal Watch is a method of rapid communication between Jimmy Olsen and Superman, since Olsen seems to have a knack for being in the center of action. Initially, Olsen took apart several radios and created a device that could generate a high frequency ultrasonic signal that Superman could pick up with his enhanced senses. Superman was impressed and advised him to miniaturize the device. Olsen created a special wristwatch and wore it at all times. It is mostly used when his life is in danger, to alert Superman, hack a computer system, or look up information. Gifted with super powers, Lex Luthor destroyed the watch his his heat vision.
