The Gravity Gun is a weapon Superman confiscated during his years of service, as it was one of the few that could harm him. It was kept in an armory in the Fortress of Solitude. During a battle with Lex Luthor, Clark Kent pulled the Gun from his desk drawer in the Daily Planet and used it. The Gun's ability to warp time forced Luthor's metabolism to accelerate in order to compensate. Luthor managed to freeze then destroy the Gun with heat vision but the damage was done. As a result, the effects of the Super Serum he drank wore out and he lost all of his super powers.
