Synopsis: They survived the schemes of The Light and saved the Earth from the Reach invasion. But this season on Young Justice: Outsiders, the team will face its greatest challenge yet. Kidnapped teens are being transformed into superpowered weapons! Metahuman trafficking is a terrifying threat to a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy. Now, Nightwing, Superboy, Miss Martian, Tigress, Aqualad and Black Lightning will need help from a new generation of heroes to save the world from the war games of Super-Villains controlling the system from the inside. Whats needed is a team of Outsiders.

It's been a good three months since the season three finale "Nevermore" streamed on DC Universe. If it still feels like a dream that we finally got a continuation of the Young Justice animated series, the DVD and Blu-Ray release of the Young Justice Outsiders: The Complete Third Season should be real enough! The third season looks more amazing than ever and should be on anyone's shelf... next to the 50 copies you bought of the past seasons in support of getting this one green lit. Watching the season again from start to finish cemented my recommendation to buy this Blu-ray set. Physical media isn't dead yet and still has its place. I'm still a staunch supporter of the medium and am not sold on the streaming trend. Just watching this Blu-ray, I heard so much audio I never heard the first time I streamed this show whether it be omission or buffering. From DMP's amazing score to FX sounds, it was like a new experience. The animation was still brilliant, maybe more so now that an Internet connection isn't in the mix. Not everybody has the best ISP and signal.

The Complete Third Season is offered by the Warner Archive Collection division of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The 4 disc Blu-Ray does come with bonus content, the five part Bringing Back Young Justice with Whitney Moore that also released when the first part of the season was streamed. The audio and video quality is top shelf. The show is clearly made for high definition. The music even sounds better and I heard tons of new material! A commentary track with the cast and crew for the first or last episode would have been great. That was a disappointing omission. The discs themselves had the art used for the cover art printed on each, along with its contents. That is great attention to detail. I also loved the choice of Blu-ray case they went with. It's the hassle free single spindle per section quad case rather than those ones that have double spindles and there's one disc in place above another disc and you got to take one off to get to the other. I did have a few minor issues with the Blu-Ray set. The synopsis on the back cover incorrectly refers to Kaldur as Aqualad when he's clearly Aquaman now. The menu screens use season one art instead of season three art. It also would have been nice if they included some of the tie-in comic by Greg Weisman and Christopher Jones as a sampler to enlighten those who haven't gotten it yet.

Warner Archive has done it again and given fans another beauty to add to their collection. Relive the triumphant return of one of the most beloved DC Comics animated series Young Justice on Blu-Ray. Young Justice The Complete Third Season on Blu-Ray is a recommended purchase. Now fans can extend the length of their Young Justice Blu-Ray binge parties and disappear from work for a few more days while they await the debut of season four.
