  • October 31, 1855 A.D.: Solomon Grundy is created by angry Eastern European workers near Gotham City.

  • 1879 A.D.: The Tudor Royal Diamonds are stolen by Chesterfield Cobblepot.

  • Late 1800's A.D.: Gotham is a thriving coal mining town.
  • Source: In "Joker Express," the time era is stated.

  • 1908 A.D.: Gotham University Gymnasium is constructed.
  • Source: In "Attack of the Terrible Trio," the year is engraved on a plaque.

  • 1923 A.D.: The Kitty Kat Follies animation cells are made.

  • 1930's A.D.: Frank Scolacci hides the Cat's Eyes Emeralds in Gotham Clock Tower.

  • October 1978 A.D.: Bruce Wayne is born.
  • Source: In "The Bat in the Belfry," Bruce Wayne states his birthday isn't until October. The year is calculated from his present age and present year.

  • Mid to Late 1980's A.D.: Dr. Thomas and Martha Wayne are murdered. Will and Andy Mallory's parents are arrested, convicted, and sent to prison.
  • Source: In "Traction," the appearance of Bruce Wayne appears to be the standard eight years old. In "The End of The Batman," Wayne states the Mallory's went to jail around the same time his parents were killed. The time era is calculated from his present age and present year.

  • Early to Mid 1990's A.D.: Bruce Wayne and Ethan Bennett first meet and become friends.
  • Source: In "Clayfaces," Bruce Wayne states to Dick Grayson they met when they were Grayson's age. The year is calculated from the present year and Wayne's current age.

  • Mid 1990's A.D.: Basil Karlo begins a long drought of unemployment.
  • Source: In "Clayfaces," it is stated in the Batcave that Karlo had no work for 10 years. The year is calculated from the present year.

  • 1993/1994 A.D.: Dick Grayson is born.
  • Source: In "The Batman/Superman Story Part Two," Dick Grayson states he is in middle school. Shortly after, he starts to go to Gotham High School. The year is calculated from the present year and he must be 3-4 years younger than Barbara Gordon.

  • 1999 A.D.: Ethan Bennett begins his career at the Gotham Police Department.
  • Source: In "Meltdown," Bennett states he was a cop for six years. The year is calculated from the present year and he must be 19-20 years old when he begins.

  • Early 2000's A.D.: Oliver Queen is stranded on Starfish Island.
  • Source: In "Vertigo," Queen states he was stranded for years. He must have gotten free before the Joining invasion and been Green Arrow for a few years. The year is calculated from the present year and current age.

  • Late 2001 A.D.: The Batman begins.
  • Source: In "The Bat in the Belfry," Alfred Pennyworth announces it is the third anniversary of Bruce Wayne's career as the Batman. 2002 is the first anniversary, 2003 is the second anniversary, and 2004 is the third anniversary. The year is calculated from the present year and current age.

  • 2003/2004 A.D.: A man falls into a vat of chemicals and the Joker is created.
  • Source: In "The Rubber Face of Comedy," Based on the Joker's first appearance, the event had to happen recently. The year is calculated from the present year.

  • 2004 A.D.: Detective Ellen Yin transfers from Metropolis to Gotham City.
  • Source: In "The Bat in the Belfry," Ellen Yin appears. The year is calculated from the present year.

  • 2005 A.D.: Chief Rojas issues a zero tolerance policy on all costumed individuals.
  • Source: In "The Big Chill," it is stated that there is a record heatwave so it must at least be summer. In "The Rubber Face of Comedy," Rojas states it has been six months since the Joker appeared. Clearly, a new year must have already started.

  • 2005 A.D.: Alfred Pennyworth begins a trophy room in the Batcave to house mementos from past cases.
  • Source: In "Swamped," this event happens. The year is calculated from the present year.

  • Mid-2005 A.D.: Ethan Bennett is given early parole.
  • Source: In "Meltdown," it is stated in court that Bennett was tested for three months. It must be at least April or May.

  • October 31, 2005 A.D.: Clayface disguises himself as Solomon Grundy to commit crimes.
  • Source: In "Grundy's Night," Halloween takes place.

  • November 2-8, 2005 A.D.: Marion Grange wins re-election as Mayor.
  • Source: In "Thunder," election results are revealed.

  • December 2005 A.D.: Mr. Freeze and Firefly team up.
  • Source: In "Fire and Ice," it is stated to be the harshest winter in 100 years. Epsodes are rearranged out of order to fit in the timeline.

  • 2006 A.D.: Robin meets Batgirl after being trained for a week in the Batcave.
  • Source: In "Team Penguin," it is stated. It also appears that winter is over.

  • December 30-31, 2006 A.D.: The Bat Family and Gotham City residents are killed by Francis Gray. This event is later erased. Francis and Matthew Gray arrive at Wayne Mansion on a job to repair a grandfather clock.
  • Source: In "Seconds," Barbara Gordon states she bought a game for Dick Grayson for Christmas and Gray releases a poison gas during the New Year's Eve countdown.

  • January to Early February 2007 A.D.: The Riddler tries to get revenge on Chuck Gorman but learns it was his former partner.
  • Source: In "Riddler's Revenge," the event happens. The date is then calculated based on estimates that "Seconds" takes place on New Year's Eve and "Two of Kind" near Valentine's Day.

  • February 14, 2007 A.D.: Harley Quinn and the Joker attack a Gotham Broadcasting taping.

  • 2007 A.D.: The Joining's first invasion is defeated. Months later, the Justice League is formed.
  • Source: In "The Joining Part Two," The Batman states he was monitoring construction for months. The year is estimated from the current time.

  • 2008 A.D.: Superman delivers a $100 Million Check to Gotham City.
  • Source: In "The Batman/Superman Story Part One," Mayor Hill states it is the one year anniversary of the invasion of the Joining. The year is estimated from the current time.

  • Fall 2008 A.D.: The Terrible Trio attacks students from Gotham University.
