In an effort to teach Starfire what real art was, the other Teen Titans took her to the Jump City Museum of Art. They literally drove the T-Car into the museum and disembarked in the gallery where all the classic masterpieces were on display. Raven took her to look at Vincent van Gogh's "Starry Night" and told her it was an example of the criteria of composition. Starfire mistook "composition" for the composting of trash and explained she meant the term used to describe the visual elements inside a painting and if done correctly, it can grab the viewer and hold onto them. Raven pointed out the swirling clouds and shining stars. Starfire was mesmerized and speculated van Gogh must have had a happy life to have created a colorful painting. Raven pointed out he had a lot of inner demons and could relate. Beast Boy showed Starfire the "Mona Lisa" next and revealed it was one of his favorites.

Starfire inquired why the Mona Lisa was missing her eyebrows. Beast Boy explained the second criteria of real art, the art raises important questions. He pointed out Mona Lisa also had a big forehead and pale green skin. Cyborg revealed there were theories da Vinci painted her that way as part of a secret code. Beast Boy realized the "Mona Lisa" was a warning of an impending alien invasion. They started marking up the Mona Lisa and brought a board of theories out. Starfire pointed out she was an alien. Beast Boy and Cyborg panicked and put on foil hats so she couldn't read their minds. Robin assured them Mona Lisa was not an alien. They questioned him so Robin bashed them over their heads with his staff. He fired a grapnel line and took Starfire over to "A Sunday Afternoon." To Robin, it evoked all sorts of emotions. In his case, it sparked sadness stemming from Batman only looking at him as a sidekick and bossing him around. Starfire admitted she also felt inner turmoil but because she still preferred her creepy cat painting.

Before they could continue to explore the museum, Rainbow Raider passed by them on a rainbow bridge and sacked several paintings. The Titans pursued him but Raider threw some frames at their heads. He was so preoccupied with laughing at them that he went right into a wall. The Titans cornered him but Raider pointed out his genius optometrist father made him his magical goggles. He blasted them aside then the Mona Lisa and jumped into the canvas like it was a portal to another dimension. The Titans followed him inside.
