So get ready for all the big battles and unbreakable bonds that make these friends the unstoppable Teen Titans!

So what happened with the Teen Titans Blu-rays? It's been over a year since season one dropped, Warner Archive has heard and responded. The entire series and direct-to-video movie is being released in a Complete Series Blu-ray collection and also individual Blu-ray season sets, all on December 3, 2019. If the recent Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans feature got you nostalgic about the classic series all over again or if you're just plain fed up with those full screen transfer DVD sets sitting on your shelf mocking you, The Complete Series is for you!

The Complete Series is offered by the Warner Archive Collection division of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The 6 disc Blu-Ray collection comes complete with all the special features from the DVD versions of the season sets and Trouble in Tokyo. The audio and video quality is top shelf. Given the style of bright and vibrant animation, Teen Titans takes full advantage of the Blu-ray format. It looks crystal on my HDTV. And yes, it's in the 1080p HD 1.78:1 aspect ratio or widescreen. Some may not care for "1.78:1 framing" but to my knowledge I didn't see any glaring cut offs. Something new like a commentary track on the series finale with the cast and crew would have been pretty awesome, but beggars can't be choosers I guess. The season 1 disc appears to the same as the individual release from 2018 while the season 2, 3, 4, and 5 discs reuse disc art from the DVD releases and has the episode list printed on them. It comes in my favored multi-disc Blu-ray case, the hassle free single spindle per section 6 disc case rather than those ones that have double spindles and there's one disc in place above another disc and you got to take one off to get to the other.

Unfortunately, despite the series being digitally animated, there are still some white spots in a couple season one episodes and blurring or slow down from time to time such as when Robin leaps at Thunder in "Forces of Nature," Fang in "Date with Destiny," and the final fight in "Titans Together". It's mostly isolated to the rapid fight scenes or quick pans. But it's not a deal breaker. It'll annoy the audiophiles sure, but the average fan probably won't think twice. Overall, this is the best quality version of the animated series we'll have for the definite future.

Warner Archive has granted the wish of many rabid Teen Titans and DC animation fans and brought the Teen Titans animated series to Blu-ray. Relive your favorite moments, revisit those Red X theories, decipher the meaning of the series finale all over again, or hey, after you read all those comments online about how it was way better that Teen Titans Go! for the umpteenth time discover the show for the first time and maybe you'll get what that hashtag about bringing it back is all about. Teen Titans The Complete Series on Blu-Ray is a recommended purchase.
