  • July 20, 2016: Review of episode screened at San Diego Comic Con. Toyman, voiced by Ken Jeong, forces Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg into fighting in a real life video game. It spoofs classic superhero games up to Injustice. JoBlo Article
  • July 21, 2016: Notes on the Comic Con panel. In the episode screened, Cyborg skips monitor duty to eat pizza and the League is forced to dance for Toyman's amusement. Cyborg controls Batman's moves and makes him say, "I am Batman" over and over. Many Injustice easter eggs. Batman defeats Superman with a Kryptonite ring. Superman is aghast he carries one around. Wonder Woman hurls the Batman 66 Batmobile at Batman. He is knocked to Apokolips. Batman chides Toyman that Robin is better. Cyborg defeats Toyman by taking control of some of his toys. The character designer is Shane Glines. Lex Luthor appears. Focus is on action but comedy is a natural extension of the format. Heavy character focus, too. Serious characters in silly situations and vice versa. Batman only smiles once in whole series, he kick's Mr. Freeze's butt. Diedrich Bader given a lot of leeway with voicing Booster Gold. Different accents like French and Slovenian. Booster looks up to Batman. Each episode almost always starts with action. Details of the Justice League filled in as show goes on. A lot of guest stars the previous Justice League series hadn't capitalized on. Dana Snyder voices Plastic Man. Patton Oswalt voices Space Cabbie and might be a full member of the League. Hannibal Buress voices Mr. Terrific. Some influence from Teen Titans animated series. Some of its crew are working on this show. Ted Kord could appear in season 2. Legion of Doom would be in a potential movie. Skeets will be in a Booster Gold episode but may not have lines, just special effects. Terry McGinnis could show up down the road. If there's a season 2, there could be "a couple different Robins," and Superman will have his S-Shields. Newsarama Article
