Leprechauns are magical beings from Irish legend. In 1953, Leprechaun celebrated the New Year with the Holiday Mob at the Hotel Kyuba in Cuba. During a driver's education road exam, Ed stole a pot of gold from a leprechaun. It fired its golden revolver in retaliation. Robin later landed the T-Car on him. According to Beast Boy's rainbow science, if someone pinches someone wearing green on St. Patrick's Day then they are cursed with bad luck for a million years. One way to get rid of it sooner is to find the end of a rainbow and find a leprechaun's pot of gold then take a coin. When two leprechauns fall in love, they kiss and their happiness forms a rainbow. They then hide their marriage gold at the end of it. After the other Teen Titans pinched Beast Boy and were cursed, they set up a romantic picnic in the park. To attract the leprechauns, they left two plates of corn beef and cabbage. Cyborg played a cassette tape of "Beautiful Clover" by Jerry O'Jesus. Like clockwork, two leprechauns were drawn to the picnic and fell in love. A rainbow was formed. However, the leprechaun's new love soon left him. The marriage gold was a remainder of his failure as a husband.
The Titans attempted to take some coins but he smacked their hands with his shillelagh. He recognized Robin as a fellow leprechaun, grown bitter at his own kind over the years being teased for being the shortest. Beast Boy explained the situation. The leprechaun agreed to give them some of his gold if Robin defeated him in a duel. Robin agreed and transformed into his leprechaun form. Robin defeated him with a Sha-leah-ray. The Titans took coins and the curse was lifted. Robin decided to stay behind after feeling he belonged for the first time in his life. The leprechaun was happy to have someone to share his gold with. The leprechaun's wife soon returned and they patched things up. Robin returned to the Titans Tower.
A Leprechaun was rounded up by Robin as one of the Easter Bunny's known holiday associates. Robin, Beast Boy, and Cyborg but became quickly distracted by each other because they were still under the influence of Cupid's love arrows. The Leprechaun had no information and was let go, only to be kidnapped by Santa Claus, who wanted to take over the entire holiday calendar. Leprechaun was one of the holiday representatives released by Raven to battle Santa. While Santa was distracted by the Cupid and Turkey's frontal assault, Leprechaun came from behind and bashed Santa over the head with his cane. George Washington finished Santa off. On Halloween, after Santa rejected Presidents' Day, Raven offered him St. Patrick's Day and Valentine's Day, dropping the Leprechaun and Cupid out of a sack. He declined.
Beast Boy pretended to be changing a car tire. Leprechaun stopped singing Danny Boy, braked his St. Patty's Milkshakes tanker truck and yelled at Beast Boy to get off his rubbish out of the way. Santa Claus came up on him and cocked his candy cane gun. Leprechaun demanded to know what was the meaning of the ambush. Beast Boy walked to the tap and made himself a drink. Leprechaun took offense and told him no skimming off the top. Santa clarified they weren't, they were taking the whole thing on behalf of the Holiday Mob. He tossed Leprechaun out and drove off in the tanker.
