A veteran of both stage and screen, Carl Lumbly is best known for his co-starring role as Detective Mark Petrie in the long-running series Cagney & Lacey. Other television credits include Going to Extremes, L.A. Law, Chicago Hope and The X-Files. His film credits include Escape From Alcatraz, Everybody's All-American and Pacific Heights. On stage, Lumbly has appeared in numerous productions including Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest and Miss Evers’ Boys, for which he won an NAACP Theater Award.
